July2008 Hello every one, First off, I would like to thank Mama Mary for all her hard work with clothes and stuffed animals that we do all year. At the Richmond Convention, she received her 2000-hour volunteer Hospital Pin. “Great Job”! The Country Fair at the Hampton VA Medical Center was great, thanks to the helpers – we had Mary, Margaret, Teresa, Lil, and Nancy – and they all pitched in where we needed them. And let’s not for get the M.O.C., they always come through when we need them! Thank you Carol, for the great pictures you put in the Newsletter. Thanks also to Mama Rosa for her dedication in running the M.O.C.A. this past year. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did you. In June, we did not have a Hospital Visit due to the Convention in Richmond. Our next Hospital Visit will be July 12, leaving the Post at 9:30 to be at the hospital by 10:00. The patients have asked us to push it back an hour so they can get out of bed in time to come. Please put the ladies in your prayers that help get them out of bed in time to see us. Let’s welcome Joy to another great year as our Grand President. And also welcome our new M.O.C.A. President, Margaret. Hope to see you all at our next Meeting (July 15) and visit. Remember Ladies, Dues are coming up so please pay early and let’s make 100% this year – we missed by two people last year. Dues are still only $12.00 and new members $22.00.
